Expression in the Forró – Forrówelt Podcast #2

Half because the music was so loud and half because I just couldn't believe it, I had to ask again, “What? Who is here from where?”

But I heard right. There were two people who lived in my (then still) forró-free hometown of Regensburg!!! Of course, I immediately started looking. I finally met Anne for the first time at the Forró event “Forró de Lua” in February 2017 in Darmstadt.

Although I've been traveling around the world for most of the time since then, whenever I've been 'home' we've had countless conversations about the forró and dancing. One of the conversations recently inspired me so much that it was simply inevitable to make a podcast episode out of it. This time, your ideas have given me a new perspective on a phenomenon that I have been following closely for a long time:

Since my first day at Forró an assumption has creepingly solidified in me: “Forró makes you happy!” Even though I've been on the trail of this happiness for a while, I keep coming across surprising and exciting insights into the (potential) effects of Forró.

Anne works professionally with the effects of dance and I believe we can all learn a lot from her inspirational views. VHave fun listening!
